Anderson Double Sided Tansu Limited Edition (Japanese Step-Cabinet)
One of the most recognizable pieces of Japanese furniture, the Kaidan-dansu (step-chest) was often designed in several modular pieces to hide upstairs floors from tax collectors. This one is in three pieces. Drawers made with decorative dovetails. It could be created in a variety of woods and finishes: curly maple, rosewood, and dark walnut. Additional photos show different finishes available.
This version is much more complex, and is a limited edition series (only 6 will be made). It has 7 pieces, and includes dovetailed drawers, sliding and hinged cupboards. It is double sided, meaning it can be placed in numerous combinations, or in the middle of a larger space as a room divider.
Dimensions: 7" x 4.5" x 1.5" (though, dimensions will vary depending on how it is arranged)
This is a 1/12th dollhouse miniature suitable for a collector, and not a children's toy.
*** ONE is currently complete. Each takes approximately one month to complete; if multiple pieces are ordered at once, it may take up to 4 months for delivery.**
